We are excited to announce our involvement in the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association National Alpaca Farm Day September 26-27, 2009. Come meet the alpacas Saturday or Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m. - Pet the animals, walk an alpaca, fiber demonstrations are running throughout the day. Plus stop in the Grand Opening of our Niagara Alpaca Shop located on our property. Our store will feature national co-op fiber products including raw materials, fiber, rovings, yarn and more. Plus a fine selection of alpaca fiber apparel including sweaters, shirts, socks and more. See our Visiting Suggestions below.
The goal of the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (AOBA) marketing committee is for you to easily find an alpaca farm or ranch in your area to visit and have the opportunity to learn about alpacas and meet new people living this satisfying and rewarding lifestyle. Visit the associations website for this event at www.alpacafarmday.com. Or for info on the association visit www.alpacaowners.com.
The AOBA has been running national advertising from July through September (see the tv commercial at the website) and posters like the one seen above. Over 1,000 alpaca farms are participating over the weekend of September 26-27 and will be open for visitors. Every farm has their unique style of welcoming and educating visitors and you wont want to miss this experience!
We welcome you to take part in the excitement of this special weekend in September!
