| Junior Herdsire Alpaca Breeding and Sales:
Junior Herdsires are unproven males nearing maturity, usually between the ages of 1 and 3 years. As such they present a phenotype and, of course, and have a genotypic history but no record of reproduction. At this stage we believe it is important to have objective, third party evaluation of these males through the show process which assists us with our evaluation of fiber and confirmation. After the show process we will price the males at approximately 40-50% of their value as a proven breeder and post the amount on the website. |
