All alpacas have been blood typed, micro chipped, ARI registered and have health records.
Maiden females are guaranteed anatomically correct in the reproductive system at maturity and capable of becoming pregnant and producing a live cria when bred to a herd sire owned by the seller. Warranty ends after the first birth. The seller is not liable for circumstances beyond their control causing infertility while the alpaca is in the possession of the buyer. If abuse or neglect does occur on the part of the buyer resulting in a lost pregnancy, this will nullify all warranties. Breedingd females sell with a live birth guarantee: should the alpaca not have a live birth, the seller will provide a free breeding to a herd sire owned by the seller. Potential herdsires are sold guaranteed to have an anatomically correct reproductive system and be fertile at maturity. If by the age of 4 years, a male alpaca has not bred a female and semen evaluation shows inability to impregnate a female, the buyer will return the male alpaca to the seller. The seller has the right of possession of the male alpaca for a period of up to 6 months during which time the seller will determine the validity of the infertility claim. Should the infertility claim be valid, the seller will, at his choice, replace the male with an alpaca of equal quality or refund the animals purchase price. The seller is not liable for circumstances beyond his control which causes infertility while the male alpaca is in the possession of the buyer.
Herd sires are proven males and have produced a cria. There are no expressed or implied warrantees for a proven producer.
Newborn cria, 6 months or age or less, sold with their dams are sold with no expressed nor implied warrantees.
Financed sale: buyer may finance up to 90% of the purchase price if two or more breeding alpacas are purchased (breeding alpaca include herd sires and pregnant females). Buyer may take possession of the animals when 25 % of the sale price has been paid. Buyer may take up to 60 months to pay for the animals on a monthly, quarterly or semiannually payment plan of equal payments. The buyer agrees to purchase and maintain a full mortality insurance plan, naming the seller as loss payee, until the animals are paid in full. Financed alpacas may not leave the United States until paid in full. Registration papers for a financed alpaca will not be transferred to the buyer until the animals are paid in full. All cria of financed animals will be registered in the sellers name until the financed animals are paid in full. Any and all moneys generated from the financed animals, including but not limited to the sale of offspring, breeding services, insurance proceeds and the like will go against the unpaid balance owed the seller until the balance is paid in full.
Breed backs will be included as part of the purchase price of a bred female: one free breed back per animal with a herdsire owned by the seller.
Transportation will be provided free of charge by the seller: when 2 or more breeding animals are purchased.
Board will be provided free of charge for up to 6 months when two or more breeding animals have been purchased. Board fees are $2.50 per day for buyers and $3.00 per day for others.
Veterinary care costs will be paid by the buyer during boarding.
